“Where is the light?” they keep asking
with a torch in their hands they keep basking
they run through the night
but none of them wants to burn the light
it is not the light they fear
but it is the burning they don’t want near
they readily enlighten their homes
while someone else is burning his bones
they say we are the youth
and I agree it is the truth
but a truth half said
is like interest not paid
yes we are young
yes we are strong
we have the power
we can build a tower
its only a matter of realization
its only a matter of introspection
look inside yourself
and you will see the world in a new light
and this will be a beginning very bright
a burning torch that pours divine light
the light that bedazzles
the light that wins battles
you see the flintstones in the sand
you only need to take that in your hands
and that will give out a spark
never will you have to see the dark
never will you have to ask
