The Air I breathe feels so nascent,
I look around as if I am an infant,
Why this world still feels new,
I still feel fresh like a dew,
Why is it that I still feel small,
Someday everybody has to grow up after all!!
Why do I hear this child cry,
When all I want to do is give growing up a try,
This child in me refuses to grow up so fast,
Why doesn’t one more day my childhood last??
It feels strange to get up every day and pretend,
Act like grown ups and the worlds on you depend!!
I know it’s difficult to grow up,
But nobody wants the child to show up,
For those few moments’s sake,
All the time, all we do is fake!!
